Our first pick is the Roronoa Zoro (Full Art), currently sitting around $12. This card is exclusive to the Starter Deck 29 set and largely goes unnoticed since it isn't in your typical booster box. Adding to its rarity, it can only be pulled from the 3-card bonus pack included with the deck (currently priced around $37). After tumbling from its $30+ highs, it has consolidated to a strong new floor, making it a stellar buy at these levels. With less than 150 NM copies currently on TCGplayer, this makes for a solid addition as new starter decks inevitably steal the spotlight and this product phases out. The unbeatable character appeal, intricate artwork, and gorgeous card texture add an additional cherry on top.
Next up is the Luffy and Ace Leader from Starter Deck EX, at roughly $5 for a Near Mint copy. Most of the time, starter deck leader cards are very readily available and lack the rarity factor, but this card is breaking the mold entirely. Featuring iconic tag-team artwork of two fan favorites wrapped in a textured foil that you truly have to see in person to appreciate, this visual premium makes it one of our strongest bets for long-term value, easily allowing us to ignore the usual starter deck stigma. Even though it was released just weeks ago, demand remains sky-high. We’ve tried waiting out the bottom, but it continuously bounces back to this level and seems like a prime time to grab some. To see its future potential, look at the similar tag-team Zoro & Sanji leader from Starter Deck 12—it currently commands around $15 a card. While there are many Luffy cards out there, adding a fan-favorite like Ace really brings this one to light.
Following that tag-team momentum, our next pick adds a serious rarity factor: the Ace and Newgate Parallel from Starter Deck 22, currently hovering around $24. For spending just a few dollars more than the $20 cost of the sealed deck, you can secure the absolute crown jewel of the set. Similar to the Egghead Zoro, this card can only be pulled from the deck's bonus 3-card pack, massively adding to its rarity. Being a black-and-white parallel left some collectors on the fence initially, but when you factor in the breathtaking artwork of this legendary duo, you have a definitive winner. While others are buying typical rares or lower-tier alternate arts for the same price, you can scoop up the top parallel version of this card with less than 90 NM copies currently on the market.
For those looking to diversify into sealed items, The Time of Battle Sleeved Booster Pack offers the lowest booster pack value right now. Coming from a solid set featuring the highly sought-after manga Admiral chases and various other premium rarities, these are plenty available for now as the newest release. A standard booster pack offers decent per-pack value, but sleeved boosters tend to perform exceptionally well in the One Piece TCG over time. For historical context, just look at older, arguably less desirable sets: OP03 sleeved boosters now command $35, and OP07 sleeved boosters sit at $26. Stashing away sleeved packs now is a proven strategy for seeing future potential realized.
Last but certainly not least, we turn our attention to the Monkey.D.Luffy #119 Alternate Art from Emperors in the New World, currently trading for around $35 in Near Mint condition. This is a massive discount from its $70+ highs, with only about 100 NM copies available on TCGplayer right now. To put this into perspective, your average loose booster pack from this set (OP09) is selling for around $30, yet the pull rate for an Alternate Secret Rare is brutally difficult—roughly 1 in every 3 to 4 booster boxes (or about 1 in every 72 to 96 packs). Buying a pristine NM single for roughly the cost of a single sleeved OP09 booster pack is an undeniable value. Featuring strong Luffy artwork and outstanding foil texture, this card has plenty of room to grow as the overall OP09 set value increases.
It is also worth noting that many of these targets are available in graded PSA 10 slabs. If you can hunt down decent price points for these pristine graded copies, they might represent an even better strategic hold for your portfolio. As we stated earlier this week, we strongly believe the One Piece TCG is getting ramped up for another run later this month. The resulting influx of eyes and excitement will create a rising tide, making these specific, undervalued items some of the absolute best opportunity cost plays available right now in the market.
